The school calendar is set by the Director and approved by the school’s Board of Director’s. As a general rule, the school year runs from the first week in September through the end of May. A separate summer session runs from June through August. Our school follows the Spring Branch Independent School Districts calendar with regard to Holiday breaks. Spring Branch ISD In-service days may or may not be taken by the school. Likewise, Emmanuel may take some in-service days that SBISD does not take for teacher in-service training, as well as certain religious holidays. All families are given a school calendar at the beginning of each new school year. In the unlikely event that A change must be made to the approved calendar the schools’ Board of Directors must approve the change, and adequate parent notice must be given.
In the event of bad weather or a national or community emergency, please turn to local radio and television for closure information. If the Spring Branch schools are closed, Emmanuel Day School will also be closed. In the event we must close the school after the school day has begun because of electrical outage, plumbing or water cut-off, national emergency, or for any other reason, the school office or your child’s teacher will call and notify parents that they must immediately pick up their child (PLEASE keep your contact information updated at ALL times for the safety of you child)
