For His Sake:
I am but one,
But I am one.
I cannot do everything,
But I can do something.
What I can do,
I ought to do.
By the grace of God,
I will do.
Lord, what will you have me do?
A Summary
What is the Order of the Daughters of
the King? This is a religious order for women who are communicants
of churches having the historic Episcopate.
Who are the Daughters of the King?
A group of Christian women who undertake to live by a Rule of
Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service.
What is the purpose of the Order?
Evangelism. Through a disciplined life of prayer and service,
Daughters endeavor to encourage an ever-growing, deepening relationship
with our Lord Jesus Christ.
How does the Order differ from other
groups? Daughters live by a Rule of life, a discipline that
pervades all of life, home, family, church and beyond. By living
under a common Rule, Daughters are aware of growing with other
Christian women toward Christ.
Will becoming a member of the Order
help deepen a commitment to Christ?
The Order can help by directing the way to a stable relationship
with our Lord Jesus Christ by prayer, study and meditation.
Why do Daughters wear the cross? The
silver Greek cross is a silent proclamation that members
lives are committed to manifesting Christs love and that
they cannot live a day without Christ in their lives.
What do Daughters do? Daughters
are not called upon to do, but to be. Being a Daughter is a state
of mind.
